Sackai Bags is a one-of-a kind brand that combines original artwork and functional design. Founded in 2014 in Jakarta as an artistic melting pot of graphic designer Toto Prastowo and former journalist Presi Mandari, Sackai Bags wants to shows through its creation Indonesia’s remarkable beauty and the everyday urban activities.

Toto’s imaginative illustrations and Presi’s simple and clean designs are beautifully translated – through block printing and hand screen-printing techniques – into a range of collections where quality, functionality, originality, and simplicity meet. The animal characters and imaginative scenes manually printed on the bags also serve as a reminder of the magical fun and excitement in seemingly ordinary everyday activities. 

Producing their collections in limited quantities to ensure quality and exclusivity, Sackai Bags has gained a strong customer base who chooses the brand for its uniqueness that is incomparable to other products currently available in the market. 

For two consecutive years, Sackai Bags has been selected by the country’s Creative Economy Agency to showcase their products among other local brands at a world-class trade exhibition NYNow in New York, United States in 2018 and 2019. The brand has now distributed their products to markets in the United States, including Maryland, Florida, and Hawaii since 2018.
